Job Title: Senior Talent Acquisition Recruiter
Location: Geismar, LA
Type: 6-Month Contract
Compensation: $36 - $39 hourly
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: Monday-Friday: 8:00am-4:30pm
Position Summary
This role provides a high level of customer service to internal and external partners while supporting daily employment office functions. This position acts as a lead support for a small team of Specialists or Recruiters and assists with staffing plans, requisition processing, interviews, onboarding tasks, and employee redeployment.
Key Responsibilities
• Source, screen, and conduct preliminary interviews
• Coordinate site interviews and contingent job offers
• Manage assigned requisitions, including editing and final review
• Track and report staffing plan data using MS Office and databases
• Build and update job descriptions
• Support employment staffing plans and hiring requirements
• Coordinate redeployment conversations
• Complete onboarding compliance tasks, including background, drug, health, I9, and E Verify
• Serve as a point of contact for employment processes at the job site
• Provide lead support and guidance to Specialists and Recruiters
Required Qualifications
• Five or more years of recruiting experience
• Stable work history required. Candidates must provide clear, consistent reasons for all transitions over the past ten years. Short term roles or frequent moves must be explained.
• One to two years of lead support experience preferred. This role provides guidance but does not include formal supervision.
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Attention to detail and comfort with MS Office
• Ability to learn ATS or tracking systems quickly
• High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Oracle
• Background: Open to all recruiting backgrounds. Craft, industrial, or construction experience is not required
• Associates or Bachelors degree
• PHR or SHRM CP
• Previous employee
• Experience with employment law and compliance
• Backgrounds in Administration, Customer Service, HR, Industrial Construction, or Nuclear are helpful but not required
WORK ENVIRONMENT Work will be in a general office environment operating and functioning in a fast-paced work environment. Must possess vision (corrected or uncorrected) that allows for clear visibility from a distance of 20 inches or less. Occasionally required to work in an industrial location where weather can range from warm to extremely and hot and unusually dry. Sand and dust clouds may be frequent. Noise levels will be moderate to high. An industrial location may contain light to heavy equipment vehicles that contribute to noise levels.
