AECOM is seeking a Senior Specification Writer.

About Buildings + Places:
Our Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building and system engineering, urbanism and planning, strategy +, economics, technology solutions, asset advisory, and cost and program management. This team assists our clients from strategy through project realization, creating positive outcomes for those who occupy and use the buildings and environments we help to create. We look to combine beauty, sustainability, resiliency, and innovation in our projects and believe these values can be instilled in any project regardless of size or budget.
Some of our recent projects include the new LA Clippers Arena, the Chicago Riverwalk , Autonomous Vehicle R&D Facilities, neighborhood resilience plans, cutting edge scientific research facilities, and global headquarters.
The candidate would join AECOM’s Ohio practice, based in Columbus and Cleveland, but would support projects being developed by teams located throughout the US West Region which spans from Ohio to Hawaii.
Job Summary/Responsibilities:
The Senior Specification Writer will utilize knowledge of construction products, materials, and methods to write specifications for a variety of complex projects and building types which may include commercial office, education, healthcare, science and technology, government, and other building types. The selected individual will have a good working knowledge of building codes and construction materials and techniques.
