Job Description

Contract Details:

• Location(s): Eugene, OR
• Contract through the 2025/2026 school year – 37.5 to 40 hours per week.
• Contract follows the academic district calendar.

Salary:

• $48-$54/hr.
• Total per week: $1,800.00 - $2,025.00.

Qualifications:

• Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing or a baccalaureate degree in an allied field.
• Oregon RN license; TSPC School Nurse License preferred.
• Current standard first aid card and CPR card.
• At least 2 years of prior professional nursing experience required; experience in school nursing a plus. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students and staff members as needed.
• Work directly with the family of any students in need of 1:1 nursing care to administer personal medical care, including transportation, and any school medications.
• Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify health concerns and provide appropriate interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic illnesses or special health needs.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students.
• Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics, including illness prevention, nutrition, and hygiene.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address health concerns and promote a healthy school environment.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and serve as a resource for school health policies and procedures.
• Stay up to date on current nursing practices, regulations, and guidelines related to school health services.
