Project Manager/Estimator/Detailer to join our team in Beltsville, MD. This unique role combines project management, cost estimation, and technical detailing, ensuring seamless project execution from pre-construction to completion.
Key Responsibilities Project Management - Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects to ensure they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, maintaining open communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain project schedules using management software, identifying and mitigating potential delays.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and address challenges as they arise.
Estimation - Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services based on project drawings and specifications.
- Develop and submit accurate and competitive bids, ensuring profitability and alignment with client expectations.
- Solicit quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, evaluating proposals for cost-effectiveness and reliability.
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine estimates and budgets throughout the pre-construction phase.
Detailing - Create and review shop drawings, blueprints, and other technical documents using AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software.
- Ensure designs meet architectural and engineering specifications while aligning with the project’s construction goals.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to resolve design conflicts or clarify details.
- Generate material takeoffs and assist with procurement planning.
Qualifications - Experience : Minimum of 5 years in project management, estimation, or detailing, preferably in commercial or institutional construction.
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Technical Skills :
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software.
- Proficient in estimating tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or equivalent).
- Strong project management software skills (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or Primavera).
- Knowledge :
- In-depth understanding of commercial construction methods and materials.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
- Soft Skills :
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
