Altro Paradiso is hiring a full time Polisher. 

From globally acclaimed chef Ignacio Mattos, Altro Paradiso is an Italian restaurant in the heart of SoHo and an essential New York City dining destination. The restaurant’s menu draws inspiration from several Italian regions, celebrating timeless craftsmanship throughout, while the room’s high ceilings and glimmering brass bar contribute to a lively nightly atmosphere. Since opening in 2016, Altro has garnered many devoted regulars, ranging from neighborhood residents to travelers who treat the restaurant like a second home whenever they’re in town.  

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Polisher to join our team. This is a full-time position requiring open availability, ideal for someone passionate about hospitality who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation for all glassware, flatware, and plateware

• Ensure polished items are readily available and stocked at all service stations before and throughout service

• Handle fragile items with care, adhering to safety and sanitation procedures

• Support the floor team and managers by anticipating needs and replenishing items promptly

• Assist with overall organization and cleanliness of back-of-house and storage areas

What We’re Looking For: 

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail, efficiency, and pride in maintaining high standards

• Ability to work quickly and stay organized under pressure

• A team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills

• Reliability, professionalism, and flexibility with scheduling

Physical Demands

• The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, standing for long periods, bending, liftining up to 25lbs and moving intermittently during working hours.
