Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Part-time Audit Accountant to support a reputable small accounting firm in downtown Indianapolis. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office work with the flexibility to work remotely.

The role is ideal for someone who is ready to assist with an initial project, estimated at 15-20 hours per week starting in January. Upon successful completion, there is potential for ongoing monthly work.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide audit and accounting support for the initial project and potential ongoing needs.
Ensure compliance with relevant audit standards, including Yellow Book education for single audits.
Collaborate with stakeholders and staff in a professional and effective manner.
Utilize tools like QuickBooks and Microsoft Teams to manage tasks efficiently.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
Must have access to a personal laptop for work purposes.
Non-profit experience is a plus.
Current QuickBooks Pro Advisor or QuickBooks certification is preferred.
Must have Yellow Book education for single audits (20 hours of CPE).
Ability to commute to the downtown Indianapolis office.
Comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification when needed.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and staff, including partners.
Experience with Microsoft Teams is preferred.
Additional Information:

The position is contracted and the selected candidate will receive a 1099 at year-end.
Hourly rate: $40 to $50, based on experience.
