Actual Job Title: Nurse Scheduler

Minimum two (2) years of experience in nurse scheduling
Preferred associates degree; minimum requirement is high school diploma/GED
*Experience working with all payer types, including Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance companies
*Knowledge of scheduling tools
*Understands the scope of services that Amerita can provide
*Strong verbal and written communication and scheduling skills
*Coordinates and tracks regularly scheduled nursing visits.
*Communicates assignment of new patients and primary nursing from Nurse Manager to field staff.
*Tracks and/or obtains authorizations and reauthorizations for nursing visits as needed.
*Provides infusion treatment plans to physicians and maintains communication log.
*Tracks outside agency visits by month.
*Contacts outside agencies for nursing notes, statements and invoices as needed.
*Maintains files of credentials and insurance documents for outside agencies.
*Collaborates with Intake and Pharmacy staff to schedule visits and orders.
