Job Description

Position: Line Cook/Kitchen Prep, Full-Time or Part-Time.
Compensation: $17-$20 per hour, dependent on experience.

As a Cook/Kitchen Prep person, you will be responsible for:

• Using the correct tools and equipment to prepare all items.
• Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality dishes, following Garcia’s recipes and standards.
• Ensure food is cooked to order with consistent flavor, presentation, and portioning.
• Assist with prepping ingredients, stocking kitchen supplies, and maintaining inventory as-needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Duties of this position will include:

• Set up of kitchen equipment.
• Verification of stock.
• Cleaning of cooking equipment.
• Managing the flow of food orders.
• Following sanitation and safety standards.

Requirements of this position include:

• A good sense of balance, the ability to multi-task, lift up to 50 pounds waist high and stand for long periods of time. 
• A qualified applicant must have basic reading, writing, verbal communication skills, and the willingness to work with others as a team.
• The ability to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours in length. 
• This position also requires you to use motion that entails bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, stretching, and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists.
