Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a JR Assembly Technician to support the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) by improving their rapid-capability delivery process. The team will provide expertise in research and development, systems engineering, mission development, modeling and simulation, as well as ground and flight operations. Their focus will be on both large and small space technology experiments, with a primary goal of integrating sensors and payloads into a government provided satellite bus.

What you'll do:

• Provide space technology assembly and integration support.
• Support spacecraft bus, payload, and experiment assembly and integration within government facilities.
• High-altitude balloon, payload, and experiment assembly and integration within government facilities.
• Assist with hardware/software procurement and other direct costs during assembly and integration.
  
• Evaluates reliability of materials, properties and techniques used in production; plans, designs, and develops electronic parts, components, and/or integrated circuitry.
• Under general direction, designs and develops equipment, processes and systems that involve data networks, communications, and display.
• Analyzes equipment specifications and process requirements to conceive a practical design. .
• Coordinates and consults with research engineers or scientists and customer representatives to resolve design problems.
• Develops and maintains technical procedures, documentation, and manuals.
• Compiles and analyzes operational data and directs tests to establish standard for new designs or modifications to existing equipment, systems, or processes.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with a Bachelors degree; OR Masters degree in a related field; OR 6+ years of experience in lieu of degree
• Previous experience working with satellite integration, technology assembly, or electronics assembly  
• Local to Albuquerque, New Mexico with the ability to work on-site
• This position requires the candidate possess a minimum of Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI. The candidate must maintain the clearance.

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
