Job Description

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Technology Infrastructure (T.I.) Manager to oversee and manage our technology infrastructure within the hospitality sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT systems management, experience in hospitality-specific technology needs, and a passion for providing seamless technological support to enhance guest experiences. You will lead the implementation and maintenance of our infrastructure, ensuring that all technology systems run smoothly, securely, and in alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Infrastructure Management: Lead the management and optimization of all technology infrastructure across the hotel and restaurant property, including servers, network systems, property management systems (PMS), guest Wi-Fi, point of sale (POS) systems, and back-office operations.
  • Guest Experience Integration: Ensure all technology systems supporting guest services are running efficiently, including reservations, check-in/check-out systems, guest room technology, and entertainment options.
  • Project Management: Plan and manage the execution of technology infrastructure projects that enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction, such as system upgrades, network expansion, and cloud solutions integration.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, train, and develop a team of IT professionals, providing leadership and guidance to ensure systems are maintained and serviced at optimal levels.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure the seamless operation of technology systems, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
  • Security & Compliance: Maintain a secure infrastructure environment, ensuring compliance with hospitality industry regulations, data privacy laws, and security protocols.
  • Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor systems for performance issues and respond to technical challenges, minimizing downtime for both operational and guest-facing services.
  • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans specific to the hospitality environment, ensuring minimal disruption to guest services during system failures.
  • Cost Management: Assist in managing the IT budget, controlling costs related to infrastructure maintenance, system upgrades, and technology investments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, ideally within the hospitality or service industry, with at least 1 years in a managerial role.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong experience with property management systems, point-of-sale (POS) systems, Wi-Fi solutions, and other hospitality technology platforms.
  • Networking Knowledge: Proficiency in networking systems, Wi-Fi management, VPNs, firewalls, and security protocols.
  • Security Focus: Understanding of cybersecurity practices specific to the hospitality industry, including guest data privacy and payment processing security.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, such as hotel management and staff.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues quickly while minimizing impact to guest services.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with industry-specific technologies such as Opera, Micros, Toast, or other PMS and POS systems.
