DESCRIPTION
Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $32/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits are provided. This information is provided per the Washington State Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on market location. Key job responsibilities
- Physically move and expedite materials when required to support production and meet work order completion schedule.
- Verify all materials are packaged/bagged and tagged for hand off to the production floor.
- Use proprietary software and ERP systems to virtually complete warehouse tasks and movement of parts.
- Document system issues, process flaws and inefficiencies. Communicate with quality control, purchasing and other related departments to resolve problems.
- Operate equipment including: forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, cherry picker, and hand carts.
A day in the life
A day in the life would include fulfilling warehouse orders by kitting and packing direct material and delivering the kits to the production floor. Join Project Kuiper's inventory team and support the delivery of satellite material to our engineers as we create and deploy satellites to help bring internet to under-served populations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year in supply chain, operations, warehousing, inventory control or related experience
- 1+ year experience using MS excel, able to navigate and interpret data
- Able to lift up to 49 pounds
- Schedule is 40 hours a week, 8 hours daily
- Monday - Saturday, morning and evening shifts, depending on the needs
- Able to stand/walk for up to 10 hours
