Job Summary:
DonorSearch is seeking a dynamic Conference Marketing & Engagement Specialist to coordinate our presence at conferences, trade shows, and networking events. This role is responsible for managing booth setup, branding, and logistics to ensure an engaging and professional presence that resonates with our target audience. The ideal candidate will coordinate promotional materials, develop event-specific marketing strategies, and travel frequently to represent DonorSearch.

Success in this role requires a strong ability to engage with prospects, clients, and industry leaders to generate leads and drive business growth. The Conference Marketing & Engagement Specialist will work closely with sales, customer success, and channel partners to maximize event ROI, track lead conversions, and identify sponsorship and speaking opportunities that enhance brand visibility. Additionally, this role will collaborate with the digital marketing team to amplify event promotions and post-event engagement while staying informed on industry trends and competitor activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage conference booth setup, branding, and logistics, ensuring a strong and engaging presence at industry events that align with the audience.
  • Coordinate swag and promotional materials for events, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and appeal to target audiences.
  • Plan and execute conference and event marketing strategies to increase brand visibility and lead generation.
  • Travel frequently to industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent DonorSearch.
  • Engage with prospects, existing clients, and industry leaders to collect leads and drive business growth.
  • Develop compelling messaging, positioning, and event-specific content to maximize engagement.
  • Partner with sales and customer success teams to ensure follow-up on leads collected at events and support pipeline development.
  • Work closely with channel partners, resellers, and industry associations to build joint marketing opportunities.
  • Identify sponsorship, speaking, and exhibitor opportunities to expand DonorSearch’s reach.
  • Track and report on event ROI, lead conversion, and overall marketing impact.
  • Collaborate with the digital marketing team to promote upcoming events and post-event engagement.
  • Stay informed on competitor presence, industry trends, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, or related roles within SaaS, nonprofit technology, or prospect research sectors.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently (50-75%) to conferences and industry events.
  • Strong understanding of prospect research tools, fundraising, nonprofit development workflows, and sales/channel partnerships.
  • Experience in lead capture, qualification, and event-based relationship building.
  • Excellent verbal communication, networking, and public speaking skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and content management systems.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and influence decision-making with data-driven insights.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience measuring and optimizing event marketing effectiveness.
  • Passion for helping nonprofits and fundraising professionals succeed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a SaaS or technology company marketing to nonprofits.
  • Familiarity with donor management platforms and CRM integrations.
  • Background in event marketing, webinar hosting, or thought leadership content creation.
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and digital advertising strategies.
  • Experience working with channel sales teams and reseller networks.
