Unleash your talent and redefine what's possible. **Job Description:** Parsons is looking for a strategic **Communications Specialist** focusing on the company's Federal Aviation programs to join our Corporate Affairs team. The ideal candidate has experience in creating and executing highly visible, high impact integrated advocacy communications campaigns with the ability to partner and inspire those around them. In this role the candidate will perform day-to-day marketing, communications, and public relations activities, as well as partner with multiple stakeholders to develop a long-term marketing strategy that advances our Federal Aviation programs. **What You'll Be Doing:** + Develop a holistic external communications and media relations approach that advances the company's Federal Aviation growth efforts. + Collaborate closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders to plan and deliver key marketing campaigns supporting major programs, maximizing the effectiveness of the corporation's advocacy efforts. + Work closely with members of the media to positively shape and place positive media coverage about company's capabilities. + Support internal and external executive messaging development and promotion. + Effectively communicate to internal and external audiences the effectiveness of the company's program. + Present ideas and final deliveries to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about communication programs, strategies, and budgets. + Bring new ideas to the table and pitch opportunities for traditional and digital communications + Draft releases, statements, op-eds, newsletters, captions, and quotes including rapid response to breaking news + Monitor and compile daily press clips, traditional media coverage, and social media metrics. + Support the Communications Director and staff on other assignments as needed. **What Required Skills You'll Bring:** + Bachelor's degree in external communications, media relations, corporate affairs, or government relations + 5-7+ years' related experience + Experience with media relations and press release writing + Experience working on highly visible, impactful programs or with large, complex companies or clients. + Experience working with the US government. + Knowledge and relationships within the U.S. Federal Aviation market + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of AP Style + Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills + Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools preferred + Collaborative individual who is comfortable working with multiple personalities, groups, and can lead by influence + Ability to travel up to 25% + Must have US Citizenship \#BNATCS **Security Clearance Requirement:** None This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
